Rollover Investment Retirement Account (IRA)

A rollover investment retirement account (IRA) is an account an investor would open to move their retirement savings from one account into an IRA. Upon retirement, one may consider moving the funds from a 401k, profit-sharing plan or other retirement savings plan to maximize their investment or diversify. Rolling over your money into an IRA will typically keep your savings tax-deferred and will give the investor a broader range of investment choices including but not limited to mutual funds, stocks or certificates of deposit. Taking money out of a retirement account sometimes has drastic tax penalties. Make sure you talk to an experienced expert who can insure the money is rolled over seamlessly to avoid any of these fines.

The benefits professionals at Savage & Associates can explain the tax incentives and benefits of the different types of IRAs. For more information on the wide variety of accounts available, contact Savage & Associates.
