Don Thompson joined Savage & Associates in 1991. Previously, he worked in private industry for 20 years as a product development engineer, a marketing product manager for industrial materials, and a regional sales manager. During this time he received recognition awards in sales and the company's Presidents award. Don specializes in providing long-term care insurance for individuals and businesses. Don's interest in this area stems from personal experience with his father who is in a nursing home and on Medicaid and his mother, who has Alzheimer's. With his NASD series 6 license, he offers a balanced approach to financial services including insurance products and mutual funds. One of Don's areas of specialization is in estate planning strategies.
Experience
Don has extensive business experience in private industry and sales. He earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1987. He also has a series 6 license. In the years 1993-1995 and 2000-2001, Don earned qualifying membership in the Million Dollar Round Table.
Education
Don graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1970 with a bachelors of science degree in chemical engineering.
